Each January in Winnipeg the weather gets cold, but the concert scene heats up! This winter the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society presents "Frets Alive" guitar concert series. Each of these concerts features a variety of artists and is intended to showcase some of Manitoba's revered guitar talent.

Guitar duo Nick Miller & Alex Tyborowski were Michael Wolch's guest on the Morning Light Thursday morning.

 

 

Their first 'Frets Alive' concert takes place Saturday night (Jan 30) and features Guitarists:

Nolan Powell (2nd place winner National Festival)

James Graham (Troiano Scholarship winner)

Braydon Olson (4th year performance major, U of M)

The Nick Miller, Alex Tyborowski Duo (Distinguished guitar duo)

They'll be performing works by:

Roland Dyens, Astor Piazolla, Miguel Lloblet and many more….
