This weekend (Jan 08 - 10) . . .The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra presents its Pops Concert with Québec roots legends, La Bottine Souriante! Since appearing on the Québec music scene in 1976, La Bottine’s contagious sound has crossed borders the world over and left countless audiences jumping to their feet and tapping their toes. The group has sold more than half a million albums and won dozens of awards! Their distinctive sound infuses their Quebec culture with jazz, salsa and pure folk.

 

 

Benoit Bourque has been with the group since 2009. He plays accordion, bones, podorythmie and sings in the group.

 

 

 

 

David Boulanger has been with the group since 2007 and plays violin, podorythmie, percussion and also sings.

 

                                               

 

They both do the step dancing.
