Manitoba's COVID-19 test rate is slightly over three per cent as of Wednesday morning.

There are 51 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, with 36 of the cases in people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19, 12 who are fully vaccinated, and three who are partially vaccinated.

New cases by health region include:

  • 23 in Southern 
  • 17 in Winnipeg
  • six in Prairie Mountain
  • three in Interlake-Eastern
  • two in Northern

Manitoba's five-day test rate is 3.1 per cent after 2,451 tests were completed Tuesday. There is a total of 998 active cases.

There have been 62,383 confirmed cases since last March, and 1,235 deaths.

There are 87 people in the hospital, with 55 of those people having active cases. There are 19 in intensive care and 16 of those people have active COVID cases.

 

Vaccinations

Mobile COVID-19 vaccines are popping up around Winnipeg, including one on Wednesday at the William Whyte Community Arena, between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Other clinics, open between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., include:

  • Thursday at Maple Grove Park
  • Friday at Kil-Cona Park

Both clinics will be near the parks' off-leash dog area.

To date, 2,053,655 doses of vaccine, including first, second, and third doses, have been given. Manitoba is working to roll out a COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11, if a Pfizer vaccine becomes approved by Health Canada.
