Winnipeg audiences have heard Robert Cohen in recent years as cellist of the legendary Fine Arts Quartet. He returns to the city for a marathon performance of the Bach Cello Suites simply because “he plays like a God!” (New York Stereo Review)

Robert Cohen’s early teachers included Jacqueline du Pré and Mistoslav Rostropovich. He has worked with all the great conductors from Abbado to Masur to Tilson-Thomas, and collaborated with Yehudi Menuhin, Menahem Pressler and the Amadeus String Quartet. His many recordings have been acclaimed as “outstanding” (Gramophone) and “compellingly intuitive”. (BBC Music Magazine)
