From May 18th - 21st Dry Cold Productions presents the Sondheim classic, A Little Night Music.

In A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim created a stunning tour de force when he took Ingmar Bergman's comedy of manners, "Smiles of a Summer Night", and turned it into a musical of masterful execution and elegance. Starring Winnipeg’s own Len Cariou, A Little Night Music premiered in 1973, was winner of four TONY Awards and featured the iconic ballad Send in the Clowns.

Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of the love affairs of actress Desirée Armfeldt and the men who love and have loved her. When Desirée travels to perform in lawyer Fredrik Egerman's hometown the passion of the estranged lovers is rekindled. This strikes a spark of jealousy and suspicion which engulfs Fredrick's very young, virgin wife Anne, Desirée's lover Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm and the Count's wife Charlotte into a romantic firestorm. Both men, accompanied by their wives, agree to join Desirée and her family for a weekend in the country at Desirée's mother's estate. With everyone in one place, the infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises.
