Jerseys and cowbells will be coming out of storage and into stadiums soon.

Up until Wednesday, the Winnipeg Football Club has been tight-lipped about what their plans to have fans back at IG Field will be. With restrictions changing, saying how many people would be back for August 5 would be a difficult call. Now, the Bombers and other professional sports teams are free to fill their stadiums in Manitoba at full capacity.

"It's going to only be fully vaccinated people and those under the age of 12 who are accompanied by fully vaccinated people. We feel that it's an appropriate risk for most people and again individuals are going to need to decide on their risk tolerance," Roussin says in a Wednesday press conference.

Winnipeg Blue Bomber's Senior Director of Public and Player Relations Darren Cameron says "To see a capacity crowd on August 5 will be remarkable and very memorable for everyone."

Out-of-province fans will need to wait to attend, as vaccination proof is not the same across the country.

Masks wearing is not required at these games, but recommended.

For non-professionals, tournaments are not allowed but spectators are. Up to 50 people, excluding spectators in the count, are allowed to gather and play. Outdoor public gathering sizes have expanded to 150 people, and indoors to 25.
