Dinosaurs are taking over Winnipeg.

Assiniboine Park Zoo opens its Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit at 1 this afternoon with an unveiling of a new dino joining the crew.

They unveiled the Tylosaurus today. An aquatic dinosaur often referred to as the "T-Rex of the sea."

The Tylosaurus us considered part of the Mosasaur family and known to be many sizes with one of the largest ever found here in Manitoba near Morden.

And this morning, the Manitoba Museum held a news conference to show off its new World's Giant Dinosaurs exhibit in Alloway Hall.

Jurassic Park advisor, author, and World’s Giant Dinosaurs exhibit creator, Dino Don Lessem says the most important thing about the exhibit is to have fun and be excited.

Lessem says the World's Giant Dinosaurs exhibit at the Manitoba Museum is the biggest, most accurate moving dinosaur exhibit ever indoors, and it's the premiere of a world tour.
