A busy commuter highway northwest of Winnipeg is open to travel in both directions following a serious collision during Thursday's afternoon rush hour. 

Manitoba Infrastructure sent out a notice just after 4 p.m. on August 4 that Highway 6 just north of the town of Warren was closed due to a serious collision.

Traffic was rerouted with detours in place according to the notice.

The closure lasted for about four and a half hours.

Warren is approximately 20 km northwest of Winnipeg on Highway 6.

There are no further details at this time of any injuries or how many vehicles were involved.
