A man from B.C. is dead following a weekend crash near Falcon Lake. 

RCMP say at around 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, a semi-trailer was travelling eastbound on Highway 1, about eight kilometres east of Falcon Lake, when the driver lost control, slid into a ditch and rolled. 

The driver of the semi-trailer, a 54-year-old male from Surrey who was not wearing his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 22-year-old male passenger, also from Surrey, suffered minor injuries.

RCMP say road conditions were reported to be icy at the time of the crash.  

Falcon Beach RCMP, along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
