Since 1999, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB) has been thrilling audiences with a Christmas Classic.

This year they're bringing back one of their most popular shows, Nutcracker, and will be performing it at the Centennial Concert Hall throughout the holiday season.

The production features a mix of experienced and student RWB dancers and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra will be performing Tchaikovsky's iconic score.

This year's production will have a number of walk-on roles as well, including local sports broadcaster Sara Orlesky, MLA Nahanni Fontaine, Juno-award winning musician David Landreth of The Bros. Landreth and Winnipeg Jets' players Dmitry Kulikov and Adam Lowry, who will take part in the Dec. 28 performance.

Showtimes on Dec. 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 start at 7:00 p.m.

Matinees start at 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 30, and the December 26 performance starts at 4:00 p.m.

Tickets start at $29 for adults and $25 for children, plus fees. Tickets can be purchased at rwb.org or in person at the RWB Customer Service Office at 380 Graham. You can also buy tickets over the phone by calling 204-956-2792 or toll free at 1-800-667-4792.
