If you've dreamed of being a ballerina (or a ballerino), here's your chance to study with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB).

On Friday, November 17, the RWB will be holding auditions in Winnipeg to find new students interested in joining the one of the RWB School's three full-time professional programs.

Their time in Winnipeg is only one of many stops in their Canada-wide audition tour, which will run until January 19, 2018

“Our annual Audition Tour is an exceptional opportunity to meet new people and discover new talent – it’s one of the highlights of my year,” RWB School Director Arlene Minkhorst explained. “The next generation of professional dancers are just now making the decision to audition and are preparing for their big day at studios across the country. It’s amazing to think of the journey that lies ahead for these special young people.”

Auditions will include a question-and-answer session and a master class. For those unable to attend the audition, video applications will be accepted until May 1, 2018. Applicants selected based on their peformance will be offered a chance to experience life with the RWB for themselves by taking part in the RWB's Summer Session.

Friday's auditions will be held at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (380 Graham Avenue). More information about the audition process can be found here.
