And so, another journey begins, a new path, a winding road, an ever-flowing river of music. After all, it is the Wide World of Classical Music. Where are we going this weekend......?

I am feeling very contemplative the last few days. Been thinking about the state of the world. Yes, the US election left me reeling. Not so much who the next President of the United States will be, but more about the divisive nature and anger that erupted over the course of the election. So much hatred, cruelty, hurt and blame. Have we not learned anything from our past mistakes? Nobody wins a war, either of words or actions. We must love and care for eachother, no matter colour, race, gender, we are all human beings.

It is not suprising that I find solace in music, and many people find comfort in sounds, it can transcend any boundaries and heal wounds.

Tune in for 2 hours of sublime and uplfting classics:

The new CD, Celtic Airs, by Irish pianist Barry Douglas will be featured in the 3:00 hour, and I will have a feature interview with the acclaimed artist.

And we will have some fun with covers of Rock/Pop songs:

It's The Wide World of Classical Music, every Saturday noon-6:00pm. Brought to you by Cruise World.
