Police are renewing calls for help in finding a missing 81-year-old man at the centre of a Silver Alert, who hasn't been seen since last Tuesday.

The Winnipeg Police Service says Earl Moberg was last seen in the River East area of Winnipeg on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Police say over the past six days they've "received multiple tips regarding possible sightings, which have all been investigated."

In a release sent out on Sunday, the WPS says that they are asking Winnipeggers to check all garages and outbuildings on their properties in case Moberg sought shelter. Police are also asking for residents and businesses to check any footage from surveillance cameras.

Moberg is described as male, 5’ 7" in height, with a medium build, short white hair, and a white beard. Originally police said he was wearing a dark blue or green parka. On Sunday they sent out pictures showing him wearing the pants he may be wearing, as well a picture of the jacket (above) they believe he is wearing.

The Winnipeg Police Service activates a Silver Alert when a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.

The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for MOBERG’s well-being and is asking anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
