Red Haus Live – the performing arts porch party – is back with another offering of lawn chair concerts under majestic oaks and elms in Crescentwood.

Started in the summer of 2020 during in a time of restrictions and social-distancing, the concerts were a way for artists and audiences to connect not via livestream but, instead, in person, outdoors, and distanced.

“It was only ever meant to be a Covid project,” says concert organizer and owner of the red house on Dorchester, Zohreh Gervais.  “But then audiences and musicians loved it so much that I just keep getting demand for it every year so it’s going – again!”

For a fourth time season, in fact, with plenty of musical offerings ranging from up-and-comers to established, JUNO-award winning talents.

Many of the performers approached Gervais directly, she says, with the season nearly curating itself entirely based on local and touring artists’ availability.

“We had a lot of jazz artists contact me, and then I thought ‘I want to do some folk and classical stuff’ so I reached out to a few folks,” explains Gervais about filling out the program.

Currently, 13 concerts are planned, though there are at least two more yet-to-be-announced performers.

Concerts are outdoors, on the lawn at 944 Dorchester Avenue and are weather dependent. Updates are posted on the Red Haus Live Facebook and Instagram pages.
