It's Halloween in July! With our 'Best Of' Summer Edition of 60 Minutes With the WSO!

Summertime is officially here and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is on a well deserved summer break! So we thought we would use these next few months to re-introduce you or, in some cases, introduce you for the first time, to this one-of-a-kind show!

This week, we're rebroadcasting our October 18th show celebrating Halloween!

In honour of the spooky hoiliday, host Alexander Mickelthwate looked at the power music has to make us feel emotion.

Joy, sorrow, anger, hope, fear . . . It's through these emotions that composers are able to tell stories that need no explanation. In film scores especially.

On this particular show we heard from students in the Sistema Winnipeg Program and we also got a sneak peak into the WSO's first ever trumpet festival and more!

Tune in Sunday evening at 5PM.

And don't forget about our ENCORE performances Monday evening @ 8PM and Wednesday nights @ midnight following Jazz After 9.
