With events going on around the world, here in Winnipeg, no less than 50 trombones will perform a brand new trombone work by composer Kenley Kristofferson Saturday night (Apr 9). Kenley and conductor Joel Green, were Sarah Jo's guests in the Diamond Lane. Missed it? Watch it here!

More than a dozen countries around the world celebrate the trombone with things like: Trombone Days, live web streams of performances,masterclasses, premiers of new compositions, recitals, concerts, lectures summits and more!

Well here in Winnipeg three trombone ensembles are gathering together Saturday to premiere Winnipeg composer Kenley Kristofferson’s “Prairie Trombone Suite” Winnipeg’s Manitoba Trombone Collective, North Dakota Trombone Choir and trombonists from Brandon University will unite for this performance.

 

 

The trombone celebration starts at 7PM at Grace Christian Church at 50 Barnes St. Tickets are $10 at the door in support of Hands of Hope—a group that gives furniture and household items to people in need.
