Admission to eight cultural attractions in Winnipeg can now be purchased with one pass.

The Winnipeg City Pass was unveiled yesterday at The Forks.

It will offer admission to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Manitoba Museum, the Royal Canadian Mint, Fort Whyte Alive, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Winnipeg Railway Museum, Dalnavert Museum and Maison Gabrielle Roy for a single price.

Enver Naidoo is the Winnipeg City Pass managing director. During the unveiling yesterday, he spoke of the economic impact of getting visitors to stay in the city longer.

Naidoo says the pass has been both a professional and personal undertaking for him.

President and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Dayna Spiring says the Winnipeg City Pass is an important next step in making Winnipeggers ambassadors for our city.

She says it brings together some of the city's strongest tourism assets in a way that serves multiple purposes.

Spiring says being positive ambassadors is one of the most important steps towards making Winnipeg prosper as a tourism spot.
