On Monday, the University of Manitoba and the University of Manitoba Faculty Association (UMFA) reached an agreement to end a 35 day strike.

The tentative agreement presented by the UMFA Executive was ratified by its more than 1200 members and will see UMFA and the UM enter binding arbitration. Key issues in the dispute include competitive salaries for and the retention of professors, instructors and librarians at the University of Manitoba.

Classes are set to resume Tuesday, December 7. More detailed information about classes, exams and student support services are expected to be sent to students in the coming days.
