Her new work "Life on Mars" will receive its premiere Tuesday at Westminster by the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra. Missed our interview? Watch it here!

Musically, composer Heidi Ouellette's work often incorporates borrowed material and collaborative improvisation. Perhaps her proclivity for collaboration is why she's also such a successful arts administrator and curator. She co-founded Winnipeg's Cluster New Music + Integrated Arts Festival, now in its seventh season, and she is currently the executive director of GroundSwell, Winnipeg's new music recital series.  Somehow, Heidi also finds time to compose between these projects. And did we mention she's a mom? Heidi's son Henry just turned ONE!

Tuesday evening, you could be part of the first audience in the world to experience Heidi's new work "Life on Mars" at Westminster United Church. Come share in her sonic realization of the elegance and isolation that live on that mysterious planet as interpreted by the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra.
