Missed Classic 107's interview with Joshua? Listen here.

Congratulations to Winnipeg violinist Joshua Peters. The San Francisco Conservatory of Music student won first place in last week's WMC McLellan Competition and took home a cheque for $10,000. In second place was Winnipeg soprano Sarah Kirsch, taking home $6,000 and in third place was pianist Tony Zhou. Presently a student at Indiana University's Jacob's School of Music, Tony took home $4,000.

It was a fantastic evening of jaw dropping talent accompanied by the always wonderful Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Julian Pellicano.

Música Clásica host Claudia Garcia de la Huerta was the emcee for the evening's competition. She spoke to Joshua shortly after he was announced the winner. We aired the interview last Saturday on the show, but since so many of you are asking for it. Here it is! Claudia started off by congratulating him of course!
