As extreme temperatures hit Manitoba, meteorologists have issued heat warnings across the province.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a heat warning for most of Manitoba, including the City of Winnipeg. This comes after a special weather statement was issued earlier in the week, warning of above normal temperatures throughout the week and into the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 36C on Saturday and 35C on Sunday, almost a full 10 degrees above normal early-August temperatures.
